About Me

Hi there, I'm Mindi!  Thanks so much for stopping by to learn more about the girl behind Oh, Rocky!

I'm terribly shy by nature, and introducing myself seems somewhat intimidating.  I'm not sure I can do it properly without seeming "not like myself".  But I'll give it a go!

Growing up, I (along with all of my family) always thought I'd delve into the world of art as a career choice, but something happened before graduating high school that steered me towards a degree in Biology instead.  I love animals and decided that working with them was the right field for me....that didn't exactly pan out the way I thought it would either.  So here I am today: 28 years old with an Associates degree in Biology, a job as a Pharmacy Technician, and a myriad of artsy, quirky, and sometimes creepy hobbies and obsessions to satisfy my creative side.  That's where Oh Rocky comes in.  This is a place for me to organize and keep track of all of the creative thoughts and ideas that are constantly taking over my brain!  Sharing my favorites movies, giving you peeks of what's going on in my craft room, or introducing my latest obsession...that's what Oh Rocky is all about.  Oh, and lots and lots of photos!  

When I'm not at work, you can often find me with my nose in a book or snuggled up on the couch watching my newest favorite movie or TV series.  I'm a total addict!  I jump at the opportunity to converse about TV shows or movies-so pleeeeeease hit me up on that ok? :)

I love the outdoors and when I go hiking I'm always on the lookout for neat things to bring home like bones, rocks, and cicada shells.  I always have my camera on hand for anything outdoors related, so you're sure to find tons of nature photos on a regular basis!

A few of my other interests include: Monty Python!!! Tattoos, playing old Nintendo games, reptiles/herpetoculture, movie trivia, beekeeping, puzzles, board games, Elvis, 50's culture, cosplay, taxidermy, reading about serial killers, amigurumi, illustration, monster/zombie makeup, ever-changing celebrity crushes, and cats!
